ROSCCO is a recognized pioneer and leader in the After School Field maintaining a focus on licensed school age/school-based programming since 1975.

MISSION:

To address the need for safe, structured and quality programs for families and their children.

VISION:

To work in collaboration and partnerships with the Stamford Public Schools and community agencies to provide school-based direct service, recreational, educational, enrichment and cultural activities for families of the City of Stamford.

GOVERNING BODY:

ROSCCO is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents, educators, and community representatives.

HISTORY:

Incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1975, ROSCCO, the Rogers School Community Center Organization was founded as a community organization to provide programs for the Rogers neighborhood and Cove-East side area of Stamford. Its founders were community residents, parents, administrators and teachers of Rogers School. Their efforts were supported by the City of Stamford, which granted ROSCCO Community Development Funds, and the Stamford Board of Education, which offered in-kind services.

While maintaining its commitment to the International School at Rogers Magnet and working in partnership with the Stamford Public Schools and many community agencies, ROSCCO has evolved into a city-wide network with program sites in eleven of Stamford's elementary and two middle school buildings. ROSCCO is a recognized leader in the After School and Family Support Fields. In 2005, in order to better reflect the city-wide scope of the organization and the services offered through ROSCCO, the Board of Directors changed the organization name to:

ROSCCO Stamford School Community Organization Inc.
