We offer (non-fee) afterschool STEAM enrichment programs for middle schoolers, which ignites curiosity with hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Kids engage in creative projects, problem-solving challenges, and collaborative experiments, all while developing critical thinking skills in a fun, supportive environment. Historically, funding for this has been supported by the Connecticut State Department of Education Activities include:

Ending Time: afterschool for 1-2 hours from Monday to Thursday.

Available at the following Stamford area schools:

  • Cloonan Middle School
  • Dolan Middle School
  • Rippowam Middle School
  • Strawberry Hill International Baccalaureate School

How much do the programs cost?
As this is a grant-funded program, there are no costs to the program for parents as historically, funding for this has been supported by the Connecticut State Department of Education.

What do the kids learn?
The goal of our program is to support the basic developmental needs and positive outcomes for Stamford youth. ROSCCO has joined forces with Stamford Public School to provide enrichment programs for middle school students. The R.A.M.P.-ROSCCO Afterschool Middle School Program- offers free programming for 6th through 8th graders throughout the year. The program consists of STEM activities, art, physical fitness and wellness, field trips, and professional development support.
Where are you located?
Our current enrichment programs for the 2024 – 2025 school year are located at Dolan Middle School, Cloonan Middle School, and Scoffield Middle School. If your child attends any of these schools during normal school hours they have the possibility of joining our program(s).
Can I change which program we are in?
No. As these programs exist in certan school locations, they are tied to the school location of where your child attends. This ensures convenince and saftey for parents, students and ROSSCO staff members.
What does STEAM-based mean?
Our R.A.M.P. provides a structured program and engaging environment, with a focus on science, technology, mathematics, and more. It also keeps kids active and safe, allowing them to learn about developing relationships with other kids and the world around them.
